Discount Coffee Pods - Money Saving Guide Discount Coffee Pods - Money Saving Guide

If you're using a single cup coffee machine that requires coffee pods, you've no doubt discovered that the pods can sometimes be difficult to find in retail storefronts, especially supermarkets. But, don’t get discouraged; there are plenty of pods out there if you just know where to look. And, there are also plenty of ways to get a better discount on those pods, too.

  1. Amazon.com – Amazon is a favorite retailer for many items. They wrote the book on one stop shopping, and they are a great source for finding pods for your coffee machine. You can find virtually every brand of pod available, and you can buy them in multi-packs, which can help you save money. In addition, you can join their regular delivery club, which sends coffee to you automatically at prescribed intervals. Not only will you save money by joining their club, but you can rest assured that you'll never run out of coffee.
  2. Coffee Pod Specialty Retailers – There are also several online retailers devoted solely to providing coffee pods, discs and cups. These retailers offer fair pricing and bulk discounts, and they're a great place to find flavors it might be difficult to find elsewhere. Many of these retailers also offer clubs that will save you money and send coffee at regular intervals, as well.
  3. Grocers – While your local grocery store will not be the source of the widest variety of coffee pods, they can often provide you with some of the most popular brands and flavors at great prices. Many grocers also offer in house coupons to customers who belong to their store loyalty programs, which can allow you to sometimes get the very best pricing on the flavors they do carry. In addition, when you buy from the grocer, you save on shipping costs. If your grocer doesn't carry coffee pods, talk to the manager. In many cases, they will order a product if a customer requests it.
  4. The Manufacturer – Each coffee maker's manufacturer has a website that sells their full line of products, including pods. Their pricing is fairly competitive and they often have membership clubs, too. Keep in mind, however, that they will only offer their own products. You will not be able to find other brands here.
  5. Stores that sell the coffee makers – You may find pods in some seemingly strange places. We've found them at electronics stores and home goods stores. Very often, if a retailer carries the single brew coffee machines, they will sell a limited variety of pods, too. This is not likely where you want to go for all your coffee, as prices are usually higher. However, if you're in a pinch, it may be a good place to shop.

The market for single pod coffee machines is definitely increasing. So, it only stands to reason that the prices and availability on the pods will get better, too. In the meantime, the sources listed here should ensure that you can always find the coffee you love at a price you can afford.
